But making them with your children can be even more meaningful. <\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">What you&#8217;ll need:<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">An empty egg carton<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">A dozen plastic eggs<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">11 items that signify Jesus&#8217; death and rising <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Printable verses to be applied and read with each egg<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Markers\/colors or whatever you want to decorate your resurrection eggs carton<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Each egg will represent what happens leading up to Jesus&#8217; crucifixion to the last egg which is empty signifying Jesus&#8217; empty tomb. Each egg should be numbered from 1-12 to keep it easy and in chronological order. Read each verse that corresponds with egg to tell the story. Your kids will love this&#8230;<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/site\/plannerperfectmeals\/home\/posts\/resurrectioneggshomeschoolingbellecom?tmpl=%2Fsystem%2Fapp%2Ftemplates%2Fprint%2F&amp;showPrintDialog=1\">Print this out<\/a> and cut out the verses. Staple together and keep in the carton for easy reading. <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><b>Egg #1&#8211;Bread<\/b>. You can use a crouton, small piece of bread or a whatever you like. <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Matthew :26<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">While they were eating Jesus took a piece of bread, gave a prayer of thanks, broke it, and gave it to His disciples. &#8220;Take it and eat it,&#8221; He said, &#8220;This is My body.&#8221;<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><b>Egg #2&#8211;Coins<\/b>. I used nickles to signify the event<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Matthew 26:14-15<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Then one of the twelve disciples, named Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests and asked, &#8220;What will you give me if I betray Jesus to you?&#8221; They counted out thirty silver coins and gave them to him.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Egg #3&#8211;Purple cloth<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"> <\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Mark 15:17<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">They put a robe on Jesus<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"> <\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><b>Egg #4<\/b>&#8212;<b>Thorns<\/b>. I got mine from our rose bush<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Matthew 27:29<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Then they made a crown out of thorny branches and placed it on His head, and put a stick on His right hand; then they knelt before Him and made fun of Him. &#8220;Long live the King, of the Jews!&#8221; they said.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"> <\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\"><b>Egg #5<\/b>&#8212;<b>Scourge<\/b> (a small piece of rope or string)<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Mark 15:15<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;\">Pilate wanted to please the crowd, so he set barabbas free for them.
