Fall and the apple orchard go hand-in-hand. I absolutely love going to the apple orchard with my brood and picking apples and these homemade apple bags help us carry them all home.
We make apple pie, apple popovers, apple cake, apple dumplings, caramel apples, eat them just the way they are, and apple jelly (no name a few!).
These bags are also perfect for going to the library or carrying some books… anywhere. We love to fill our apple bags with books we enjoy and want to learn from and go to a coffee or bagel shop and order some bagels, juice, and coffee and read. Sometimes I’ll read some important facts of history, or a story from one of their favorite books and/or they’ll work on projects. We always enjoy doing this, it’s a lot of fun and gets us out of the house.
I actually made these bags from Martha Stewart with my older children when they were young *sniff, sniff* and now passing on the same tradition with my younger crew. Supplies are easy with just apples, paint and a canvas tote. So fun! Click here to get the full scoop on how to make these adorable bags.
Happy crafting, friends!
