Don't have a Pinterest, but it sounds interesting. I have a quick question. How do you handle the breakfast routine? I have 7 kids ages 18, 16, 12, 4, 3, 2 and 5 months. Younger group are early risers, they get up at 7am, older group likes to sleep in until about 9am. I have tried waking them all up at the same time to eat breakfast together. Usually the older ones are cranky and don't eat well then. If I don't wake them all up at the same time then I feel like I spend all morning in the kitchen making and cleaning up breakfast. I would love to know how you handle this in your home.
Hi Anna Mary! You know, my seven are : 18, 15, 14, 12, 8, 7, and my "baby" is 4. My younger group up to the 12 yr. old are up with me around 7:30 and that is who I fix breakfast for most of the time…my older group makes breakfast for themselves when they wake later.
I have the kitchen cleaned and ready for the older ones to just clean up their own mess and put their dishes in the dishwasher.
But a few times during the week, I'll have muffins or biscuits or pancakes made, so in this case there are plenty for them when the older ones roll out of bed:)They just clean up their dish when they're done.
