When life gets us down it’s easy to fall into the trap of living day-by-day, taking battles as they come. But there is comfort in making order out of troubled times. It is important to grieve, find solace in God, and find comfort in mapping out your next steps.
When we are facing a difficult situation, and tackle the challenges on the fly– we react, and that never works. Leaving us feeling depressed, full of anxiety and in downward spiral. But if you face them head-on, calm and with a plan, it helps make order out of troubled times. Consider writing down your steps of action, even if only baby steps to get through these troubled waters.
Journaling is a wonderful way to go to God and write your thoughts. There’s something about writing it out that enables us to feel better knowing that God is right there, listening. Your writings in your journal enable you to go back to them and pray over them, and also see how God has answered prayer.
Facing hardship in our lives is something we all face at times. How you handle it makes all the difference. So if you are in a tough spot right now and facing hardship…mapping out a plan can help make order out of troubled times.
